Arrival
Two elephants are moving into our production facility, at least in terms of weight. The two components of our new HOMAG CENTATEQ E-510 weigh around 11.5 tons combined. But there is much more behind this impressive delivery than sheer weight. The CNC machining center brings new technical capabilities to REINHOLD KELLER.
Every Inch Counts During Delivery
Before the new machine could demonstrate its capabilities, it first had to make it safely to its designated location. It arrived at our Kleinheubach headquarters in two large sections. Berres Kranverleih lifted both heavy components from the truck one after the other. From there, our #TEAMRK carefully moved them into the production hall. Every inch mattered when passing through the entrance, and every maneuver required precision. Once the machine reached its designated location, installation could begin.
Precision Based on Digital Specifications
CNC stands for Computerized Numerical Control. A computer controls the machine’s individual processing steps. This allows wood-based panels to be precisely milled, drilled, and edge banded, while ensuring consistent quality for recurring components.
The CENTATEQ E-510 is the technologically advanced successor to one of our existing machines. With this investment, we are modernizing our production equipment and adapting our CNC capabilities to evolving requirements for products, shapes, and designs.
A SEAMLESS TRANSITION BETWEEN PANEL AND EGDE
At the heart of the machine is the point where the panel and edge meet. With zero-joint technology, the functional layer of the edge material is heated and bonded directly to the wood-based panel. No additional adhesive is required. This creates clean transitions and high-quality surfaces.
The process also delivers benefits in day-to-day production. Since there is no adhesive residue to remove, daily cleaning time is reduced by approximately one hour.
FIVE AXES BRING NEW FREEDOM TO FORM
Modern furniture concepts are not limited to straight lines. Curves, free-form shapes, and complex contours are just as important. This is where the five-axis spindle demonstrates its capabilities. It can approach the workpiece from different directions, allowing even sophisticated shapes to be machined with precision.
Combined with the edge banding unit, individually shaped components can be milled and finished with precisely applied edges.
The new technology expands our design capabilities while giving us even greater flexibility in production. Our #TEAMRK continues to set the standard for every component.
