Craftsmanship for the Neighborhood

At the adult day care center, there is a lot of laughter, conversation and passionate card playing, whether Skat, Rommé or Schafkopf. However, for some guests, it has become difficult to hold a full hand of cards. Those who have to sit out can quickly find themselves on the sidelines while others continue playing.

This is where our apprentices came in. What started as a training project quickly became a matter close to their hearts. With great dedication, they built card holders that will help ensure everyone can join in again at the next card game afternoon.

During the personal handover, the joy was clearly felt on both sides. They may be “just” card holders, but they make a meaningful difference between watching from the sidelines and being part of the game. For our #TEAMRK, it was a wonderful moment that showed how much our connection to our home region and its people means to us. From the region, for the region!

Caritas Tagespflege is located directly next to HEYDEBAH in Kleinheubach, a residential concept based on the motto “Service Living 60 Plus.” With 39 barrier-free rental apartments ranging from 44 to 133 square meters, each with its own balcony, it provides the foundation for independent living in older age. The social services center and adult day care center right next door ensure that everyday support services are only a short distance away.
