A LOOK INTO
JASMIN’S TRAINING
In the Middle
of It All
Strong organizational skills, a head full of ideas, a kind heart and always a smile. That is Jasmin. At only 18, she is close to completing her training program. She has been part of the #TEAMRK for three years and during that time she has not only gained insight into many areas of the company, but also grown step by step in confidence and self-assurance.
This Is Me
Three words describe Jasmin well: humorous, communicative and honest. She shows this not only among friends but also in her daily work.
In her free time, Jasmin lets her creativity flow. She reads and picks up pen and paper whenever she can. She also enjoys being behind the camera. Taking photos, developing video ideas and capturing moments is what she loves. Her two cats help her unwind after a long day. “They calm me down, especially after a busy one.”
Starting Her Career
Jasmin knew early on that she enjoyed organizing tasks, understanding processes and keeping track of things. Business administration and accounting were the first indicators. The combination of communication, planning and structure ultimately led her to this training path.
She learned about REINHOLD KELLER through her mother. “A family friend works here and always spoke very positively about it.” The application process was relaxed for her: online application, trial internship, interview and finally the offer. “The interview felt easygoing with real interest instead of stiff conversations. I knew right away it could be a good fit.”
A LOOK AT HER WORKDAY
There is no such thing as a typical day for Jasmin. It always depends on the department she is currently working in. This makes her daily routine varied and engaging. The only fixed point is her mail service on Thursdays.
During her training she got to know many departments: purchasing, accounting, scheduling, customs, marketing, general contracting and project management for system gastronomy. “Over time you understand how everything connects.”
In each department she was given responsibility early on. She processes orders, enters invoices, drafts storyboards for videos, works in front of and behind the camera, organizes transports and welcomes truck drivers. “I like that I can work independently here, while still having someone to ask when I need help.”
BETWEEN SCHOOL AND OFFICE
Once a week she attends vocational school in Miltenberg, currently on Wednesdays. In the first two years of training, she also had lessons every other week on an additional day. In the third year, that second school day is dropped and individual additional days are scheduled according to a fixed plan.
She finds subjects like procurement and cost and performance accounting particularly helpful because she applies much of it directly at work. She has also made new friends at school. “We support each other. And I regularly exchange ideas with Luis, my fellow trainee in the third year. That helps a lot.”
No One Stands Alone Here
What Jasmin appreciates most is the way people treat each other. “Everyone helps each other here. And if something goes wrong, you sit down together and figure out how to do it better next time.”
A real highlight was the trainee weekend in Oberstdorf. “It was great. We went rafting, cooked together and talked late into the night. You get to know each other on a totally different level.”
Another event she really enjoyed was the trainee outing to the golf course in Glashofen. “We tried our first swings, more or less successfully,” she says with a smile. “But that didn’t matter. You do something together that has nothing to do with work. You talk, you share. It brings people closer.”
Growing in Courage and Confidence
Jasmin already knows what will happen after she completes her training. She will stay with the company. “I am really happy about that. It feels good to know things will continue.”
Looking back on her training years, she sees how much she has developed. “I dare to do much more now. I used to be very reserved, and today I speak up more openly about what matters to me. I have become more confident and that feels right.”
To anyone considering a training program as an industrial clerk at REINHOLD KELLER, she shares this advice. “Just go for it, be open and ask questions. There is no need to be afraid. I applied when I was only 15 and I was nervous, but now I know it was the right choice. So give it a try.”
