Between daycare and conference: How two moms manage their everyday lives
Being a mom –
A full-time job that
fills your heart and
(professional) life
Our moms are true heroes, they juggle calendars, manage to-do lists, and still make room for the laughter of their children, which fills their everyday lives. Just like our colleagues Yasmine and Nadine: two women who, with heart and energy, manage their roles as moms and as part of #TEAMRK, taking on new adventures every day. Their stories speak of laughter between the nursery and the office, flexibility that builds bridges, and a working environment that supports, challenges, and empowers them.

Yasmine, 38 years old, married, and a proud mom, on a family vacation in the Alps with her son and daughter.
“Since 2013, I’ve been able to express my creative side in marketing, especially in the areas of graphic and corporate design. What’s great about it? I get to bring my ideas to life while doing what I enjoy.
In my free time, I love being with my family and friends. I enjoy staying active with volleyball, find balance with Pilates, and appreciate diving into a good book in the evenings. And my morning moment, when I can finally have a coffee in peace, is my little break to clear my mind. These small moments give me the energy to juggle family and work with heart, structure and a smile every day.”

Nadine, 37 years old, together with her husband and their son Mats, who makes her life louder, more colorful, and more beautiful.
“Since 2017, I’ve been part of #TEAMRK as the executive assistant. It’s a job where I can fully contribute my organizational skills as well as my creative side, and that makes me excited every day.
Outside of the office, a similarly lively life awaits, and as a mom, it’s never boring. In my free time, I’m active with CCC Bürgstadt as a coach and board member. I take small breaks through meditation or by spending time with friends and family. These “me-time” moments ensure I go through the day with a positive mindset.”
BETWEEN TODDLER SHOES AND CALENDARS, EVERYTHING CHANGES
Life changes fundamentally when you become a mom. Yasmine and Nadine laugh as they reminisce about the time when spontaneity was simply a given. “Before, my husband and I could freely organize our days,” says Nadine. “Today, Mats sets the pace.” She openly admits that balancing everything every day isn’t always easy, but it’s part of the journey.
Yasmine knows this hustle well too: “Just the morning sometimes feels like a small marathon. It’s amazing what you’ve managed to do before even sitting at your desk. I always look forward to the moment when I arrive at the office and can take a moment to relax.”
These moments of love and closeness make everyday life special for Yasmine and Nadine. And when things get chaotic, sometimes a deep breath is all it takes.

TOGETHER, EVERYTHING IS A LITTLE EASIER
Good planning is priceless in family life, and without the support network, much wouldn’t be possible. “Our family calendar is an essential tool for organization,” says Yasmine. “That’s how we stay on top of everything.” Structure provides stability, but she also knows that sometimes it takes more than just good planning.
Partnership is key in family life. It’s important not just to see yourselves as parents but as a couple who support each other and make time for one another. Without this mutual support, daily life wouldn’t function as smoothly.
In the past, it was natural for Nadine to handle everything on her own: “Today, I know how important it is to accept support. Our daycare perfectly covers my working hours,” she says, “but it’s mainly my husband, our family and friends who have my back. Without them, a lot wouldn’t work, and I’m very grateful for that.”
Yasmine is also certain: “Our family, especially our children’s grandparents, give us great support.” This help is not a given, but it’s exactly what makes daily life easier and life richer.

WHAT MAKES MOMS STRONG – AND ENRICHES TEAMS
Being a mom not only brings challenges but also a wealth of skills, and Yasmine and Nadine benefit from these in their professional lives as well.
“The stress tolerance we develop in family life also helps me in my work,” says Yasmine. “You learn to keep an overview and remain calm.” Multitasking and flexibility are also second nature to both. Keeping multiple things in mind, adjusting plans when something comes up. Nadine nods: “I can feel that my life as a mom has even strengthened me professionally.”
Work and family are not an either/or, they complement each other. And what they learn in everyday life with their children is often exactly what strengthens them at work, and vice versa.

WHEN WORK IS MORE THAN JUST A JOB
Alongside family, organization, and daily routines, there’s also space for something both women especially value: the feeling that their work is making a difference.
“I’m proud to creatively shape the development of the RK brand and that my work is visible to the outside world,” says Yasmine. “When I receive positive feedback on our presentation, it really makes me happy.”
Nadine also sees her place in #TEAMRK as something special: “The trust that the Keller-Bauer family places in me – for example, when organizing events – means a lot to me. I’m allowed to take on responsibilities and that motivates me every day.”
Yasmine and Nadine know their dedication is seen and appreciated. And that’s what makes their job not just a task but something they fulfill with joy, responsibility, and heart.

WHY A FAMILY-FRIENDLY WORK ENVIRONMENT MAKES A DIFFERENCE
For family and work to truly go hand in hand, it takes a work environment that thinks ahead, empathizes, and reacts flexibly. Yasmine and Nadine feel the benefits of their work environment every day, especially because REINHOLD KELLER is a family business.
“Being able to work flexible hours at #TEAMRK makes a lot of things easier,” says Yasmine. “I work 16 hours a week, and yet I’m never left out. There’s no two-tier society, and that’s incredibly valuable.” Even during her parental leave, she stayed in touch with her colleagues. “That alone showed me: I belong here, even if I’m not there every day.”
Nadine also appreciates the support she receives at RK. She works 30 hours a week and knows how crucial support and flexibility are: “For me, the understanding of my colleagues and the management is key. There are turbulent days, but here, you’re not judged; you’re supported. This trust gives me so much in return.”

FOR A CHILDHOOD FULL OF CLOSENESS, WARMTH, AND MEMORIES
Even though REINHOLD KELLER makes a lot possible, Yasmine and Nadine know that they couldn’t balance family and work without their personal support system and they truly appreciate that.
What the two moms also share is the hope that their children will look back on this time with a happy feeling. “I hope my kids will later say, ‘I had a happy childhood with closeness, lots of time together, and wonderful moments like shared playtimes, vacations, and all the little experiences that brought us so close together,’” says Yasmine.
And Nadine adds with a smile: “I hope Mats will later know, ‘I was always there, that he felt loved, safe, and cared for – and remembers a home full of warmth, breaks, and beautiful memories.’”
They’re not only moms, but also powerful women who walk their path with joy, determination, and a wonderful network of family, friends, and colleagues. Their everyday life may be challenging, but it is also full of love, unity, and incredible strength, both in their professional and family lives.
