Girls’Day 2026
Welcome to our training workshop!
They arrived with a healthy dose of excitement. Some may have been a little hesitant at the door, but just a few minutes later, they were already right in the middle of the action. On April 23, 2026, nine girls visited us in Kleinheubach and brought plenty of enthusiasm with them.
Sawing, sanding, discovering.
The task of the day was to build the game “Connect Four.” Each participant measured, sawed, sanded, and assembled the pieces. Sounds simple? It is not, and that is exactly what makes it so rewarding. Anyone working with their hands for the first time quickly realizes how much care and patience go into joinery.
Supported by our trainers and apprentices, who were once again fully committed, true one-of-a-kind pieces gradually took shape. And every single one was something to be proud of. With each step, their confidence grew, because few things are as empowering as the feeling of, “I made this myself!”
WHO WINS? EVERYONE!
As the morning came to an end, the moment everyone had been waiting for finally arrived. The handmade games were set up, the discs were handed out, and the playing began. Who would win? Who had the better strategy? There was plenty of testing, playing, and laughing. In the end, each young craftswoman proudly took her game home. A true one-of-a-kind piece, built with care and with a story behind it that will definitely be told at the next game night.
CRAFTSMANSHIP HAS NO GENDER.
For us, Girls’Day is more than just a date on the calendar. It is a warm invitation for young women to see the workshop not as an “unfamiliar place,” but as a place that has been waiting for them. For us, one thing is clear: ideas, dexterity, creativity and passion are not tied to gender.
THANK YOU to all the girls who joined us this year. We hope you had at least as much fun as we did and maybe we will see you again for a trial internship!
