When a light goes out, a system crashes, or a creative custom solution is needed – Ferdi Pfister and his team are ready to jump in. For the past 15 years, Ferdi has been ensuring smooth operations in building services at REINHOLD KELLER. But technical expertise alone isn’t enough, what truly sets him apart is his genuine passion and the strong sense of team spirit within the #TEAMRK.
“HEY! I’m Ferdi, 63 years young and proud to be part of #TEAMRK for the past 15 years. I’m someone who enjoys getting things done, staying active, and embracing challenges. No two days are ever the same and that’s exactly what makes my job so special.
Even outside of work, I like to stay busy: I’m a proud grandfather and love spending time with my grandchildren, especially cheering from the stands at the TV Kirchzell handball games. I used to play myself, but nowadays I’m on the sidelines rooting them on.
Until May 2025, I served as the chairman of our carnival club, the Rüdenauer Klammhörnli, for 25 years and was also actively involved in the men’s ballet for a proud 28 years. Youth engagement is something I care deeply about. And because I like to be involved, I was active in local politics for many years – serving as a municipal councilor and deputy mayor of Rüdenau.
I like it when things are moving and getting done. And that’s exactly the kind of environment where I thrive.”
A PATH BUILT ON EXPERIENCE
Sometimes, it doesn’t take much to find the right path – just the right opportunity. For Ferdi, that moment came through a simple job ad: “Electrician / Janitor Wanted.” That short line sparked the beginning of his career journey at REINHOLD KELLER, a path he’s still on today.
After completing his training as an energy systems electronics technician, Ferdi first worked as an electrical installer on construction sites. Soon after, he moved into building services for large banks in Frankfurt, where he steadily advanced over two decades – from electrician to building automation technician, and later to a managerial position overseeing electrical, automation, conveyor and safety systems.
He later transitioned into hospital facility management in Miltenberg. Despite receiving job offers for technical director roles in Hammelburg and Bad Kissingen, Ferdi chose to stay close to his family, his hometown and #TEAMRK. “I wanted to stay close to my family, and at REINHOLD KELLER I found exactly what I was looking for: a great atmosphere, exciting tasks, and strong team cohesion,” he says.
FROM DAILY ROUNDS TO QUICK SOLUTIONS
Structure and spontaneity go hand-in-hand for Ferdi and his team. His mornings begin with a routine inspection: heating systems, compressed air, safety equipment – everything gets checked. Then it’s on to maintenance tasks, repairs, and spontaneous calls for action that require quick thinking and practical solutions.
What’s important to him is staying closely connected with colleagues. “I regularly coordinate with the technical management, production management, and construction management teams – particularly when it comes to structural, fire safety, or technical matters,” he explains.
Organizational tasks are also naturally part of his role – both for him and the entire building services team – including coordinating with external service providers, managing inspections, and approving invoices.
MOMENTS THAT STAND OUT
In his 15 years with building services at #TEAMRK, Ferdi has worked on countless projects – but a few particularly stand out. Right from the start of his time at our company, he took on the task of addressing technical deficiencies and fire safety-related challenges. “It was a real challenge – but also a great way to start,” he recalls.
Ferdi also played a key role in the transition to modern LED lighting: optimizing complete lighting systems for clients, implementing custom solutions, and supporting internal projects like a trade fair booth for the IAA. “Heading home at the end of the day, knowing everything is running – even if it took a bit longer – that’s a great feeling.”
“CAN’T BE DONE” ISN’T AN OPTION
For Ferdi, building services means much more than maintaining systems or fixing faults. It’s about thinking ahead, taking initiative and staying composed even in unpredictable situations. That’s what makes the job so unique to him.
“‘Can’t be done’ just isn’t in my vocabulary,” says Ferdi. When things get tricky, he adapts, finds workarounds, and collaborates with external partners when needed. What motivates him most is that his experience is not taken for granted, it’s truly valued. “It’s a good feeling when your suggestions are heard and your knowledge makes a difference.”
That mutual respect is what makes teamwork at #TEAMRK so special for him: open, supportive, and truly collaborative.

Ferdi has found his place – in his profession and in the team.
“I was looking for an employer where I could make a real contribution and work well with others,” he says.
